Their tale began six years ago at the rugby club - Callum, the dedicated athlete, and Alex, the spirited cheerleader who clearly had an eye for a winning team. But it wasn’t just his rugby skills that won her over. It was his job in "Happy Valley" (which, let’s be honest, sounds like a fairytale setting already) and, more impressively, his ability to survive lockdown without learning how to cook.
Alex knew Callum was the one when she willingly relocated to Tuatapere - also known as the sausage capital of New Zealand - to spend lockdown with him. If that’s not commitment, what is? And Callum? Well, he was ready to pop the question much sooner… but according to him, Alex was being a bit of a baby (his words, not ours).
So, he waited.
And waited.
Six months, to be exact, before finally deciding that there was no more perfect moment than a freezing cold hunting trip at the crack of dawn.

Picture it: Alex, shivering in mismatched farm socks, wondering why Callum had insisted she leave her warm hoodie at home. The reason? Said hoodie happened to be from her ex-boyfriend’s business, and Callum had a plan. Despite the frostbite and a bit of grumbling about snack rationing, the moment arrived - Callum got down on one knee, and just like that, the next chapter of their love story began.
Now, here they are, celebrating their wedding surrounded by the people who have cheered them on through every hilarious, heartwarming, and occasionally exasperating moment. Their vows were filled with laughter, inside jokes, and promises that define the foundation of their love - support, companionship, and the unspoken agreement that Alex will always call the shots when it comes to home décor.
